My son is a meritorious and intelligent student but lost interest in studies after his 12th boards and his Medical career goal. How can we guide him as he is always angry and irritated ay us

My son has been an intelligent meritorious student throughout his school life and has scored very well till 12th standard and was preparing for his medical entrance NEET. But during the last one year of his 12th boards he has lost all interest in studies. His recent NEET results were very poor and this has made him more distant from studies or any interest in getting admission in other course in college also. He gets angry and irritated at us for everything What to do to solve this issue and make him see logic that hard work is the only way in life.
