How do we interpret the planets placed in 1st/7th axis of D9, like do they influence the physical attributes or only just the nature of relationship with spouse?
Suppose someone has mercury in 7th house of D9 in cancer, will this also influence the physical appearance or only just the relation like relationship will be a communicative one? (Native doesn’t have any planets in 1st/7th axis in D1 which also has the same rising as D9)
Because from what i’ve read D1 is physical manifestation. Please share your views
D1 is mostly the physical manifestation and D9 shows emotional mental physchological and relationship energy of the placements.. specially while checking girls chart for above purpose of marriage don’t miss out checking d20, bcoz mostly in olden days ppl used to see D1 and D9 for for men and D1 and d30 for women so better to check both…D1 will show how the person is from physical and practical point of view and D9 will show more internal aspects…in above example though D1 7th house is empty check the house lord placement to calculate the physical attributes and for d9 mercury in cancer sign …partner will communicate a lot emotionally bcoz mercury becomes debilitated there…so too much emotional to the point of feeling heavy thoughts…also parter will be emotionally immature and will be unable to see the bigger or wider arena of being in partnership…hope this answers your query…jai mahadev maa gauri
Thanks a lot Rupali Ji for answering my query in detail. I think there’s a correction it isn’t debilitated but mercury in 7th in cancer should loose directional strength and become weak. What if moon is present in lagna and aspecting back to 7th house? Does moon in capricorn show some restrictions in relationship?
i consider merc debilated in all water signs it’s not comfortable in watery signs…imagine a kid constantly crying…anyhow abt moon in Capri..where’s saturn placed?

I would say physical and mental attributes both from D9 mostly – as just D1 you have 2.5 hour window and many people are born in that time.
It is good to look at both D1 and D9 in tandem and decide everything – physical and Mental characteristics.
