Learning to let go of control is an important lesson in this life for you. You have patience and wisdom, learn to use them to your advantage. Do not get stuck between weighing pros and cons for so long that the opportunity itself is gone, or your conclusion loses its value. You also have a tendency to keep a vision for the long term, this is good – but your 8th house is prominent, so you have to learn to adapt to sudden changes quickly. For your question, the house/bhava in which all this is happening will play a very major role, along with the which house lord the malefic planet is. It has to be analysed very closely because many special positions are involved.

Say if this has happened to the 12th lord and in 6th house – it can be helpful to native to some extent because if the rashi would not be a dagdha rashi, then the native would have large expenses on medicines/litigation (12L in 6H), which would mostly go waste (mrityu bhag planet). For example if this was Taurus ascendant, then the native and his spouse may be taking gym memberships and not using them; can also say that the person fights with his spouse and then brings gifts to sort things out. However if more malefic influence would play out, then we could predict that the native will lose money due to a cosmetic surgery going wrong, or losing money in a divorce.
