Let us see some major reasons for corruption :
1. Greed
In Sanskrit , it is said that ???: ?????? ????? i.e. Greed is the root of all sins or corruption .
This is number one reason behind corruption . When we seek more than what we deserve or need , corruption starts . Mars is number one planet for such greed and Mars is well known for acquiring everything forcibly , without caring for rules or morality . If Mars is weak by being in bad houses , aspects, debilitation, with Rahu-Ketu or for any other reason , person can resort to corruption .
2. Enjoyment At Any Cost
Venus is the next planet , which believes in enjoying best things , without proportionate work or responsibility . It is planet for habitual spending and shopping and consumption without caring for consequences.

Astrologers in old days of poor literacy rate among people, decided to divide all 27 nakshatra into four parts called “Pada” or steps , so there would be 108 parts of total zodiac of 360 degrees and 12 Rashis. This way each rashi had 9 parts while each Nakshatra had 4 parts of 3 degree 20 minutes each . This corresponded to Navansh ( D-9) Chart also.
Now, to remember each such part, they allotted one specific letter , which was used in beginning of the name by the concerned person. So, if “Pe” was allotted to some person, then he / she could be named Prem Kumar ,Perumal, Premlata etc and this is called Rashi Naam .
