During retrograde course it was mentioned that retrograde planet give result of previous house as well but in case a planet started retrogradion let’s say in Virgo and was in Leo at birth time, will it still give result of leo- cancer or in this case Virgo -Leo.

The sign it is placed in at the time of birth, and the sign previous to that sign. So in your example it’s Leo and Cancer.
