Unable to get a Job despite doing most of what is required for that particular position?

Hi, I have been preparing for Civil Services for the last 5 years but things didn’t turn as per my expectations and now planning to join back in the Corporate Sector as a Data Scientist/Machine Learning engineer but not getting any interview calls because of the 5 year gap.I am finding it difficult to figure where exactly am I getting wrong in the way I am approaching things any help would be appreciated
