Debilitation is just one form of strength of a planet. There are other forms of strength like Avastha, Shadbala. If a planet is strong in other ways, even degree wise(close to asc degree) then it will definitely give its results….good or bad.
what if rahu ketu are close to ascendant degree?? would it cause havoc in one’s life?
This depends on the planet and like someone said exaltation is one part of shadbal and planet can have other strengths…but the main thing is planet behaves according to the sign it is placed in…
like mars gets debilitated but in it’s friend’s sign (moon) same for venus… mars gets exalted in enemy’s sign(sir has mentioned this point in one of his videos)… but the thing is it behaves according to sign.. and when it retains other strengths, it can still give results…
good or bad can be a mixed thing.. and depends on the house and if it’s a functional malefic/benefic
