Suppose a planet is debilitated but its debilitation is being cancelled. So the house where it gets debilitated will first yield bad results then later gives good results. But what about the house lorded by the debilitated planet? Will such a planet give good results of its debilitated house?
For example: Mercury is debilitated in 5th house but is getting cancelled by exalted venus placed in the same house. How will the results of its houses 8th and 11th be?

  1. Debilation will impact the planet strength to low. but the results (good/bad) will be as per the his ownership. in your eg mercury debilated in 5th house which means it has canacer asdnt. mercury alway gives bad results for this particular lagna being a lord for 12 & 3rd house. so in your case debialation is good,it will slow down the force of the mercury. however jatak will face issue in communication. he also need to be careful from his neighbours & siblings. this is the general perfection. Aspect, conjunction, dasha will amend the above comments. many thanks
