Facing harassment by neighbors for taking care and feeding stray dogs in my vicinity.

Pranam. As mentioned above I have been continuously harassed by my neighbors for taking care and feeding the community dogs outside my apartment. I just wanted to ask can I make a yantra in which the 3rd house is colored black to get rid of the harassment issue caused by the neighbors? Or is there any other way? When should I do it (any particular day,yog,tithi?).
Kindly help me with this, I am fed up.
