Ishta Devi/Devta

I want to know about my Ishta devta, some people say Vishnu after seeing the fifth place, some say Shiva, some after seeing the Navansh according to Jaimini, they say Ketu whose lord is Ganesha or Kartikeya, some people say Lagna, fifth, ninth and eleventh place. Seeing Ram, Shiva, Hanuman, Krishna tell, is there any one rule for the ishta devta?
