What you’re saying is very Saturnian. Saturn will hurt and starve you but give you great results if you put in the effort. Jupiter is a plump panditji who works best at the comfort of home. You cannot study(Jupiter) properly in a harsh environment (10th House) . Jupiter is a professor who takes classes where all amenities and facilities are there (9th mooltrikon and 4th exalted) . So Jupiter is the best positioned in a comfortable house.
I think Jupiter signifies happiness and it is exalted in 4th house because Jupiter’s true happiness lies in helping common people. Though Jupiter in 4th house isn’t a great position for individual.
4th house is comfort, home , masses and peace of mind , and Jupiter is the karaka of true happiness and true knowledge
so without peace and serve for others one can never attain true knowledge ,,, that’s why Jupiter is exalted in cancer
Actually Jupiter is Wisdom and blessings and 4th house and cancer sign represent your home and peace. So inorder to grow your wisdom you need to be in peace of mind. Also 4th house is your heart and Jupiter is guru and when you have guru within your heart ,you get blessings and growth in life.
