As I am new to this line… a beginner query/doubt…

It is well known that, depending upon your past life karma, planets are placed in different houses… Still as a human, we all create new karma in our life and the cycle repeats untill we clear our karmic debt and move towards salvation. My query is, how to know whether we are creating a new karma or paying off our past karmic debt???

  1. nice question…many people in today’s world are haunted by this question as to why certain things happen to them etc…so to answer in whatever knowledge I hv been given or graced with…let’s break this down
    1. our kundali is the itenary cum map cum time table of our souls journey cum purpose cum modus operandi etc.
    2. a soul takes human form to cleanse itself and be qualified for moksha, meaning becoming 1 with parmatma, so we hv to prove our selves and are given chances for the same by mother universe.
    3. Hindu Scriptures hv defined and proved that kundali helps in opening and identifying the way forward and backwards both.
    4. Now, the karma can be positive or negative. positive of one can be negative of other and that’s where paying karmic debts comes into play. eg one native might think why I always get stuck with a certain situation or person and another native might think howcome I always escape and never faced a situation, etc
    5. Further there are 4 categories under the above 2 types of karma and those are – Sanchit karma, Prarabdha karma, Agaami karma and kriyamana karma.
    6. These can be calculated through our kundali. Suppose a person A has strong sun in chart in 10 house and Aries rashi so he will be favoured by senior and govt and bosses and father etc but the person B has sun in 8th house in Scorpio rashi so he will be troubled or disturbed by the significators mentioned above. leading to think why I am unlucky etc.
    7. The 5th house of our chart or kundali shows our sanchit karma that which we carried forward from our past life, something we cannot change. 6th house shows how it will manifest but can be controlled to some extent. 8th house will show what karna the family lineage has given or native inherited and cannot be changed. 12th house will show the aagaami and again cannot be changed. 9th house will show how the current life karma will bring in the difference to tally and make our lives little better like remedies, good acts of kindness how this will help pacify negative or pending debts of our previous karma.
    8. Hence you might have heard our elders asking us to do good things in life so that atleast our pending karma if negative can be balanced.
    9. Now, how to identify – every planet, placement, rashi and house have significators and astrologer would check the significator and tell what is the karma and how it can be resolved. You can relate with the above example of sun representing father, govt, bosses, etc and exalted and digbali placement to relate to what I shared.
    10. Sorry for the long answer, hope it helps you connect..also different school of thoughts hv different views about life , karma, kundali, line of astrology, spirituality, so being open would help to gain more perspective. Some might say I am wrong but hope you understand the point and helps clarify.

  2. Interesting question. My observations on this –

    • Predictive techniques can be used to ID the karmas. If it’s a past karma coming back to haunt, then generally there is a back story that confirms it (either of individual or dark family history).
    • Pending karma techniques give a fair idea of potential pitfalls, avoidable zones and things one must or must not do. Practice it mindfully so as to watch out for new karmas.
    • Augment the two with extra reading such as Srimad Bhagavat Gita, Shiva Sutras or any classic of choice to develop innate wisdom. This part will carry us through from 9th house upwards.

    Hope this makes sense. Regards.

  3. I’m still in process of digesting this concept.
